The new reciprocal tariffs could threaten global trade.
They are not an โordinary Trumpโ move targeting one nation (Canada) or a group of countries (BRICS). The new levies go after the entire world simultaneously, meaning America has literally begun to collide with large chunks of the global economy in the blink of an eye. They also signal that diplomatic efforts to stop Trump from taking certain steps have largely failed.
