🇺🇸🇵🇸 AmeriGaza? 8 Major Shifts if the US Controls the Gaza Strip
A new design for the Middle East
In January, President Trump proposed a radical idea: the people of Gaza, numbering over 2.1 million, could be relocated to Jordan and Egypt. It was met with gasps and surprise. Within a week, several Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and the Palestinian Authority, rejected such an idea.
Even Egypt’s president, Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, said that the solution was a “two-state” setup, not moving people out of Gaza. A few days later, the US approved new defense exports to Egypt.
Now, Trump has gone beyond this, proposing that America itself could take control of Gaza, creating what he described as the “Riviera of the Middle East,” and saying the new Gaza could be “something the entire Middle East can be proud of.”
An “AmeriGaza” (American controlled-Gaza) may be on the horizon.
This represents the most bold, radical and transformative plan for the Middle East in modern times. If it is implemented, it would reconfigure how the region works.
There are dozens of shifts that could occur if AmeriGaza materializes. The 8 most significant are below.

Israel will not strike Gaza if it is “American.” Except, what happens to Hamas itself—whatever remanents still exist? While one geopolitical door closes (the war finally concludes), another opens as countries accepting hundreds of thousands of Palestinians struggle to vet them to weed out Hamas soldiers and sympathizers. Added to this, nations accepting Palestinians may see the pro-Palestinian movements rising to new heights within their borders, influencing broader politics.
