For over forty years, the world has reoriented itself around China.
Unlike America, which cemented its power after World War II, China has cemented its power in a more stable world. A masterclass in geostrategy, the Chinese never sought the global spotlight from the beginning.
Instead, China quietly maneuvered to control the “building blocks” of the world: global manufacturing, critical raw materials, foreign investment, cheap connectivity, shipping infrastructure, etc., all while America was asleep at the wheel, effectively relinquishing control over a world it built.
The West controlled the spotlight and access. China controlled everything else.
