In 2018, I wrote one of the world’s first books on geopolitics and AI.

At the time, AI was far from mainstream, and the world of geopolitics flew under the radar of most. Fast forward a couple of years, and today, two profound changes are occurring:

• First, the world of AI and the world of geopolitics is buzzing with more activity than ever before.

• Second, the borders separating these worlds have begun to blur, causing geopolitics and AI to converge and merge.

This is giving rise to what I call the “geopolitics of AI,” a phrase I coined almost ten years ago. The geopolitics of AI has the potential to unleash changes that effectively reset how the world works.
